A project inspired by the traditional B-movie posters from the 50s and 60s. Wanting to recreate the timeless simplicity of these old school images we had to find the perfect leading lady. The image stars Miss Universe Great Britain 2013, Amy Willerton as the stereo typical damsel in distress photographed by John Parker. It was then down to us to create the sci-fi landscape and villain in the same style. We aimed to create drama and movement in this still image using flares and reflections to create a convincing yet surreal landscape in which photography and CGI come together flawlessly. We feel that the final image brings together the retro feel of the B-movie posters whilst having an ultra modern sci-fi feel.
